Mark & Sue Lim are the parents of an energy-charged 12-year-old son and a sprightly 10-year-old boy. As parents, we hope that our children will grow up to be joyful and secure individuals who demonstrate a deep compassion for others.
Mark enjoys his work moulding minds as an educator and counsellor in Singapore. He was formerly a journalist as well as a policymaker in the youth sector.
Sue is a home educator who has worked as an educator and school counsellor.
Mark & Sue believe in the philosophy of living life with a passion. We especially enjoy food, travel, and working with young people (although not necessarily in that order).
We want to take this opportunity to personally welcome you to join us on our crazy parenting journey; one filled with adventures in learning and in living.
The Places We Go is a travel diary of all our exciting adventures as a family with young kids. We hope to share our itineraries and travel tips to help you in your planning process.
How We Grow is an account of our parenting journey. The road is not always smooth, and we constantly encounter many obstacles; but this is our journey, and we are thankful for what we have learnt along the way.
What We Know presents our homeschooling experience in its entirety; from the reasons why we homeschool, to the actual learning activities and our post-activity reflections.
Mark & Sue are lifeskills trainers and inclusion advocates, and our company, The Social Factor, believes in the centrality of social relationships. We provide quality education and life skills training to help individuals develop a healthy sense of self worth; and in the process learn how to relate to others in a positive manner.
The Lims have set up an online games store, Sensational Play, to help children with special needs and to bring in quality educational resources from reputable overseas suppliers.
